Aaliyah Dana Haughton exploded into fame in 1994 after she debuted her first album Age Ain't nothing but A number. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project which brought her into the spotlight. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the number one hit single If Your girl only had known. After the debut of the album Aaliyah received international recognition for her performance as an R&B singer. In 2000, she was in Romeo Must Die, a romantic action film with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer, who was attending an award show in which she was cast, noticed her. She was a part of the film based on Anne Rice, a vampire movie Queen of the Damned, that premiered in 2002. The year 2003 saw her starred as a character in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The year 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003 the singer was nominated for four Grammy awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian-American from the one generation who was who was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann originates from her husband's name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. Though her first career was filled with minor television and film performances, she rose to greater prominence in the mid-2000s. Her other notable projects include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. She's appeared in many commercials, including Volvo's global car maker. Her home is in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She will continue to pursue an acting career.
